    The criterion for the nomination and final selection of the Late Sri S.V. Kulkarni Award is as follows.

    • This award is conferred irrespective of any race, religion, cast and political ideology and is fair to all achievers.
    • Person should have achieved the success from scratch without any inherited background from the family – in a field or brand that was built, grown by him/her from scratch.
    • Person with a background who had little or no privileges inherited from family for the given achievement.
    • Apart from the day to day business, the person should have worked on the upliftment of the society and believes in the noble cause of service to the society.
